Hola! I’m Pastor Jonathan Secrest and I am so completely privilaged to be a part of Teays Valley Church of God! Prior to my wife (Carrie) and my three children (Avarie, Graeson and Wyatt) moving here, we lived in Indiana where I worked as a Technical Writer and part-time Youth Pastor at First Church of God in Marion, Indiana.
Most of my experience in youth ministry came at a therapeutic boarding school where Carrie and I worked as houseparents for several years before I became the Dean of Students.
I love working with teenagers more than anything in the world! Though ministering to students who’s hormones and opinions change every two seconds can be difficult, God had blessed me with a great love for what I do. Every day is truly like being on vacation! I look forward to the future here at Teays Valley Church of God. I look forward to meeting each new student that chooses to walk into our doors and those reached in the local schools!
